Guess, I'm yet to see the best ones (haven't been to Taj Mahal even though I'm just like 400 kms).

But there are a lot of cool places to hang out in Delhi. Red Fort, Qutub Minar and several markets full of bargains (if you're good at it ).

New Zealand sounds great! In Germany we have Berlin with the Bundestag and the Brandenburger Tor, or Munich with the Oktoberfest and also Mainz with its famous carneval, where the whole town goes crazy.

Kurt I was thinking of telling them to put up a map of the US and just throw a dart at it. I can't think of any state that doesn't have a lot of places worth visiting.

Yep...I just picked out some of my favorites from the W. USA. I didn't even include Alaska or Hawaii, both great and interesting places all by themselves.

People can agree or disagree about the politics of the USA, but no one can dispute how diverse and beautiful our Country is.

That's why I love it and have no desire to visit another country till I've seen the rest of ours.

I don't "have" a country. I just happen to reside in places where men have created artificial borders and called them "countries". Sorry, just a thought.

That is a tough question. I think the places that Kurt mentioned are some of the most phenomenal scenery in the states = but there's a lot of beauty up and down the East coast, too - a little more populated in some places but beautiful. The west is for people who like wide open spaces and a lot of room to roam. Until you get to California anyway.

When you ask what is the best part of this country to see -- and you don't give us a clue what type of things you like - you could end up with millions of different answers.

Thom said it like it is:
...... put up a map of the US and just throw a dart at it.
