I don't have a "most favorite" song, but this one is doing it for me at the moment.

When I was a kid, I had songs that I could listen to over and over. I once
played Don McClean's "Castles In The Air" (the original version) at least 25
times straight on my record player.

As I got older, I found that hearing a song once was enough, no matter how
      much I loved it.

However, there is one song that, every time I hear it, it just makes me feel
so good. And ironically, it's one of my own.

Interesting stuff. I can hear a bit of George Harrison and ELO in that track.
Even a little Brit pop, if I may be so bold. I like it.
Edit: I can hear quite a bit in that song so I am going to add a little early Syd Barrett stuff as well.

I too like it and was also thinking Britpop.

I think this would easily have charted in the UK during the 90's.

How did it go where you live Steve?

Thanks. The Beatles were a HUGE influence on me growing up in the 60s
as well as ELO in the early 70s. In fact, a lot of people tell me I sound
British when I sing LOL. Ironically, when British people sing, they don't sound
British. LOL. At least not to me.

          Go figure.

Bravo you keep being one step ahead of me.

I have listened to Steve 4 times already!!

I can't believe that my favourite song of the god damn (sorry Puritanical Americans) decade is one posted by someone who just happened to spot a thread and put himself up for it.

What else have you got? Did you write this or is it a cover? I see there are a few other songs with same title on YouTube and I've just listened but they aren't like yours.

Dan, the song is original. I've been writing since 1979 and have written
over 900 songs. I've had 1 published but nothing recorded yet.

It's a tough business to break into.

I do have other songs posted up at YouTube. It's a small sample of what
amounts to over 30 years of work.

I don't have a favorite song either but I find myself randomly busting out into dance lately because of this song:

LFMAO - Party Rock Anthem (sorry can't post links yet)

No moving lyrics or groundbreaking harmonies. Just a fun to dance to song!
