Second half of the year is when teams are making the run for the playoffs. I'm a Giants fan and hope they can repeat.

Baseball fan ... me? You bet! Milwaukee Brewers. Maybe the Giants and Brewers will meet in the post-season to determine who gets the National League Penant.

    You have my sympathies.

No wait, the Brewers and the Cubs are playing right now. I'll give you my sympathies after the series between them is over.

I hope to see you in the Series then to take revenge. Rangers all the way. However, I'm going to say it's going to be Philly versus Boston, with a slim possibility on the Yankees making it.

I can't imagine anyone realistically beating Halladay, Lee, and Hamels. Even if a couple has a bad day, that's about all that could happen in a series. If they add a good lefty at the plate, season done.

Been a Mets fan since 1972

Been a Yankees fan since 1974

I know - you can't be fans of both. I hear it all the time. To which I say "bunk".

I grew up with both. In my family, my brother is Yankees 1st, Mets 2nd. When we were kids it was never an issue since they never played each other. Now we have fun during inter league games...

The Brewers are doing very well this year. They just beat Houston.

Beating Houston this year isn't a great feat, but you're right, they are in first place so they are doing well. Unfortunately they just lost one of their best players to an injury. Ricky Weeks will be out 2-6 weeks with a severe ankle sprain. Hopefully it's just two weeks.

The crew has an amazing home record so far this year at 39-14, but they need to play better on the road. They actually have been since the All-Star break, so hopefully they can keep that up.

As much as I LOVE baseball, I root more for 'players' than teams.

I would be more partial to the Yankees because of their history and current 'bombers' group. Damn! Granderson. Texiera. Cano. Bombs away.

Good for Jeter on the 3000 hits. Never forget some of the miraculous plays he's made - diving in to the stands for the catch and bloodied face. The 'cutoff' and throw in front of home plate to get the out. What SS would have been ALL the way over there?

Pujols is my favorite player. The 'machine'! GREAT story on him on Sunday's 60 minutes. LOVE a superstar who GIVES back!

Justin Verlander ROCKS. My kid plays against his younger brother (or nephew) from time to time.

Sean Marshall is a local boy and proud of how he's doing on the Cubs. His brother coached my kid at some camps.

LOVE 'the Freak', Tim Lincicum. Great ERA. Not much run support.

Used to go to Angel games and see Nolan Ryan pitch when I lived in Southern California as a kid.

Yah. I LOVE Baseball and could talk about it for days. GREAT Game! Whenever I'm on the field, the thought always pops in my head, "Who the hell came up with all this sh*t!" So much to the game.

Thanks for sparking some happy thoughts

Yankees fan here. Hey, don't hate me because they're beautiful.

Being a Yanks fan is genetic. You get it from your father. In my case, my Dad swore he would never pay for TV programming. Right up until he learned the local cable system in Buffalo offered the Yankees games. We had cable the next week, and I've spent more happy times watching the Yanks with my Dad than almost anything else I've done in 53 years.

And Mike... I root for the Mets every game they're not playing against the Yanks. It's not tough to cheer for both.

I love baseball. I'm a Minnesota Twins fan so this season has been a disappointment! But hey Jim Thome just hit his 600th home run!

Since I now live in San Francisco I root for the Giants unless they play the Twins in the World Series which won't happen this year.

They announced it during the Brewers game. That's one of the things I love about the sport. Most fans, regardless of the team they favor, can appreciate individual milestones.

I remember when Jose Canseco hit a home run and stole two bases against the Milwaukee Brewers to become the first player in the 40/40 club. Brewers fans gave him a standing ovation even though he was on enemy territory.

Huge Philly Phan and baseball fan in general.

And no, I am not a bandwagon fan. I've been with the Phillies through all the lean years. Joe Carter still makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

That's a funny quote. Mickey has nothing to worry about though. He'll still be remembered after Canseco is long forgotten to all but the statisticians and baseball history buffs.

Go Brewers! They've won 18 of their last 20 games. That's some good baseball, folks!
