Where's real talent in the Music Industry?

Hey,

I've noticed, with young artists especially... The people that are "discovered" and get the biggest contracts, are not always the best... I feel like there is so much hidden talent out there, that is never discovered by the music industry.

I wonder if proper marketing would help these artists get deals.. Here's one that I found, that I think should be the next Biebs.

Lia Marie Johnson

enjoy

I was in the music biz with a band. Labels want you to write to Formula. big record labels force this on a alot of there bands. Just a few include Nickelback, Rebecca Black, Carrie Underwood, etc etc. plenty more. you know a good band when there music isn't exactly mainstream but good enough to hit number 1 ratings such as Coldplay .. Though that was more opinion than fact.

Some of all this "talent" is just a recording engineer who builds what the company wants.
    digital post-production - prepubescent - pop-piddle...it's a factory

unique talent gets overlooked - even if it gets as far as the studio,
they go in like Dante's Inferno and come out like Disney channel

If you fit a certain mold or if they think your sellable you get the contract. Its all about selling records. But thats with commercial pop music, thats not what I call real music.

Damn man, you're pretty good haha, nah middle fingers to these major labels though I swear... Indie labels, them underground musicians they got bars on the real like you can't go wrong, I even wonder why did they even sign that kid Justin Bieber, on the serious note, this is serious almost everything I do is taken seriously, except when it's time to have fun, party hard like crazy! But yeah, tell me why this dude he does RNB n rap and all of his songs are dope and all, but he can't get a record deal?! He be killin' it NO LIE! I don't BS with music actually kinda picky but I'm a dude with emotions and lyrics so I pay attention to it, not like some Nicki Minaj or Lil Wayne although I kinda like Lil Wayne few songs pretty good but like they rap about you know the usual stuff of uncensored that doesn't even make sense lol. Some of these labels, ain't making the right moves... Wrong decisions, and the funny thing is they won't sign him because they don't like the style of his music...?! But hold up, look at this when Jermaine released Birthday Sex, the label and the radio stations say like how are they going to play it out because of the youth of the kids and now what...?! They released it... It doesn't even make sense anymore... Ughhh...

Steven, tell me you're at least signed to a major?! You are rocking that Casio.
Casio? Neh...never had a Casio in my life.

As for being signed. yeah, I'm signed to a lifetime marriage agreement with
    my wife.

Beats a record label deal any day.
