let's say you found a shirt in a department store
it cost $ 97.00
you've got no money
you borrowed $50.00 from your dad and
$50.00 from your mom.
now you got $100.00.
you bought the shirt.
how much is your change? answer ($100 - $97 = $ 3.00)
you returned $1 to your dad and $1 to your mom how much do you have left?
answer = $1
now, how much do you owe your dad? answer ($50 - $1 = $49) right.
how much do you owe your mom? answer ($50 - $1 = $49) right
now here it comes $49 that you owe your dad plus $49 that you owe your mom is?
answer ($49 + $49 = ... $98) right
if you add the $1 that you have left, that's ($98 + $1 = $99) correct?
now where did the one dollor go?:confused:
