A guy in a pub asked me how i was always collecting on bets. A week later he was my first subscriber and he still subscribes. Well actually, my dad was the my first subscriber but he refuses to pay and mocks me when we have a rare losing day. We must be doing something right

I sold a car manual on CD (back in those days) from a banner I put up on a car site I built to feed my love for old classic cars. That was back in 2003 (it still earns me Adsense income). I'm looking at the cheque right now. It was a total surpise, I kept it (figuring it was probably the only money I'd ever earn (lol...little did I know).

Writing articles on revenue sharing websites. Took awhile to make any real money, but it's been worth it.

Started out with CPA, costed too much money. Then onto affiliate marketing, didn't make many sales. So I work with my brother's Internet Marketing Consulting company and that definitely makes the most money!

Yep, built it by hand in notepad in 2002 and I still hold dozens of number 1 spots for all my 65 pages and have done for years. They just sit there at number 1.

The content hasn't changed since 2005 though recently I moved all content over to wordpress - big mistake but I did leave the old site underneath because I just couldn't kill the old girl.

But it's all original stuff (owners of cars write submit their cars and stories), been getting a flat-line 5,000+ unique views for years and making about $250-$350 every single month since 2005. This goes to show that all the good solid practices will make you money regularly. Good original content with care for your visitors (I like good bright sharp pics and I get emails commenting on how cool the pics look). The point I suppose is that car folk come to visit it regularly and even though the content hasn't changed it's still interesting and they are satisfied. I provide a visual service, everyone's happy. The problem is that Adsense advertisers don't pay much.

But yeah, it reminds me of how basic website building can be. I even saw a Panda walking passed just recently. It looked at me and said "Hi Bill". I waved.

Come to think of it, I should start paying it a bit more attention. Mmmm
