Wanted... A New Set of Gnashers

By gum dentists here (UK) are expensive. And personally?...

...I hate 'em. Got a real phobia about dentists. Usually, I pull my own teeth with a good strong pair of pliers. Dip 'em in boiling hot water, get a good grip and start twistin'. Better I think to manage your own pain threshold.

Now, I don't want this to be another long in the tooth post.

Question... given that dentists here are so expensive and I'm in the market for a new set of gnashers, I'm wondering - are there any dentists you can personally recommend State side? And I insist on being knocked out completely. The last guy here I almost leapt out of the dentists chair to rip the guys head off the pain he put me through.

Only I'm thinking... if it's more cost effective to get private treatment in the States, the trip might be worth it. And I could always write it off as a business expense too. Plus do some marketing on the side whilst over there in your fine country.

Any suggestions for that gleaming set of full teeth?

Answers on a postcard please below if you've got any personal recommendations, dentists I can look up over on the other side of the pond...

A website link would be fantastic!

Thanks,

I don't know how the prices compare, but dentists aren't cheap here either. I'm kind of guessing because I haven't had any real work done in quite a while, but I'd guess a full set of dentures would run $1,000 to $2,000, depending on the quality of the material used. Add $100 to or so for each tooth that needs to be pulled. Not sure if there are any other costs.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.
