For some reason, I thought about that very thing. Somehow, it seemed cuter when they were kidding. I mean the three stooges apparently only graduated from public high school, but they DID graduate, and they created the series. Stan Laurel gets the credit for a bit of laurel and hardy. Heck, I just read a biography about lou. He seems like a nice guy, and HE apparently had quite a bit to do with the A & C team. It was a different time!

So did Abbot and Costello "borrow" from Ma and Pa Kettle, or the other way around?

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

That was the first time I saw that clip. I think it was absolutely brilliant too. I'm thinking I need to go to my moms place and borrow all her Ma & Pa Kettle flicks. Thanks for the belly laugh Dennis.

"Little Giant", which was the movie where 7 x 13 was first seen, was made in
      1946.

Ma and Pa Kettle didn't start until 1949.

So Bud and Lou's version came first.

      Many people borrowed from A&C.

Like they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

You know, you REALLY have to wonder if someone REALLY does math that way. And LOGICALLY, you should be able to show them 14+14. By the M&P method, it would equal 10 which is CLEARLY wrong as it is less than 14. And what of subtraction?

But who's to say? I really wonder if I am not in the twilight zone or something.
