When Netflix first introduced their online content, the only way you could access it at the time was with the Roku media player. I'm trying to figure out the percentage of IMers that own one. Do you own a Roku player? If so, do you use it much?

Gary, Our local BJs used to sell it,and I would say to myself one day I am going to get this.
Well,on a rare moment when I thought I had an extra dime,I went to BJs and they had discontinued carrying it. So I had to answer no to your poll. Do you like it?

I do like my roku. And I'm noticing that tons of channels are being added to it almost daily. According to the owner of the company, roku has over a million boxes sold, and they expect to double by the end of 2011.

So the reason I'm putting up this poll, is because I'm wondering just how much exposure an internet marketer might get by having a channel on the roku box.

I use it constantly. I put cartoons on for my son, my wife and I watch movies, and of course I got Glenn Beck TV on there.

Also, did you know you can make your own Roku Channel?

I am actually working on mine now hehehe

    Cheers

I've put a couple of channels together as well. That's why I was wondering just how many IMers had a ROKU. Was wondering how well a marketing channel would go over. Especially since you can do live events on there.

We've had once since they first came out on the market. It gets used all day long, every single day in our household. We've had to replace it once since we got it and they covered it under the warranty. The channel selection is outstanding now, it just used to be netflix and FB photos. Now I stream Pandora, Netflix, Amazon for rentals and public domain content on there. Love it!

We bought one too when they first came out. It has saved us a ton of money over the last few years. We have several of them in our house now.

I love the growing channel selection. It's literally growing on a daily basis right now. There are even private channels out there you can get that aren't in the channel store.

But I'm seeing a huge potential for anyone that can get a channel in the channel store. Right now nearly 2 million households have a ROKU, which means there's a good chance that a lot of people will see your videos if they're in the channel store.
