Warrior Forum Extremely Slow Loading Pages - Just Me Or...

The Warrior Forum seems to be extremely slow to load up some of the pages lately. Been getting steadily worse for a week or more now.

No problems on any other websites, just the Warrior Forum.

Fast broadband connection so I know the problem isn't this end.

Can often take a minute or more to load up a single page, driving my patience levels bananas.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

It's slower than most sites, but seldom takes a minute. Maybe 20 seconds or so. The only other sites that load this slowly for me are newspaper sites. One thing I have noticed, is that every day around 3:05 or 3:10 AM the site just stops working. This happens every day for me, and lasts about 10 minutes or so.

It's taking 20 seconds or so for a page to load for me too. When I'm used to pages loading in a fraction of a second, 20 seconds seems like forever.

Even with Bright house lightning this site is very slow.

I can't even imagine what it is like with dial up.

You have to realize what amount of resources a site like this can use. Right now it has over 7000 users. The database for this site must be humongus. I'm not saying it doesn't take time to load, just saying all things considered,I'm not surprised.

      Hello Kim

I realize the database is enormous and I'm not surprised either that the servers must at times be bursting at the seams but then, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to pretty quickly work out this forums monthly revenue approximately which in itself is a pretty enormous sum of money.

Rather than busting a gut on the servers, why not simply invest in the technology so the whole forum loads up super fast for everyone? This investment would be more than worth it if one is interested in keeping one's customers happy.

Not moaning about this issue, it just makes perfect sense to keep the forum running as fast as possible for all involved. Revenue is also being lost when members cannot enjoy the forum to the max. Correct the problem and this problem not only solves itself but can generate further revenue as a direct result.

      Best,

      Pete Walker

There are forums with 30 - 40 - 50 thousand people on them at once with HUGE data bases and they are not slow. It is investment in the proper servers that keeps them fast.

Refreshing the OT Forum page just took 2 minutes and 15 sec. That's BS. I have nothing else running.

I have posted and it was so slow it posted twice. It takes forever to delete the duplicate post.

Like Pete mentioned, this has only started recently.

A suggestion to those running Firefox if you clear your history every day it helps this site run a little faster. Still very slow but it helps some.

I suspected that might be it, but wasn't sure because instead of getting a maintainence page I get a page from the host, although I can't recall exactly what it says. I'll blame that on too many wedding toasts today.

Even though I have a fast browser (Firefox) and a fast computer, the Warrior Forum is often slow, and it is frustrating. Sometimes, when it is really bad, I just leave and come back later in the day. I don't have as much trouble on other sites as I do in the WF.

Revenue on both sides. And for advertisers on the site, such as myself, it's not good to see the site take so long to load. Hope it's taken care of soon. It's been this way for the last several days, but today is the worst.

What ever you do, If your viewing the WSO section then don't refresh the page. Open
the WSO's you want to look at in a new tab or many of the offers will be on pg2 by
    the time you reload pg1...lol

Slow is not the right word for this...

I was going through the forum looking for Trolls and the forum slowness did help
the report time wait problem if you can call that help?

I think I'll wait awhile before I continue...

There is something definitely wrong with the WF. My old account has a problem with it and support won't do a thing. Everything will be lightning fast until I log in, then everything goes to sh*t. Pages will load for 5 minutes and time out, getting to my inbox takes 10 minutes, it was CRAZY. I threw away my old account, which had credibility, a fair few posts and a war room membership because I couldn't take it anymore.

As much as I was tempted to throw this computer right in the lake, I didn't!

Try contacting the help desk - kinda seems silly to throw away a membership over a temporary (?) glitch.

The forum seems to be running faster and better than ever. Personally, I'm just waiting for the supersonic speed to kick in....I'm almost at a loss now - just not use this new and improved current speed....but I like it.

I have tried many times. They have just said 'your account is fine'. It is clearly not, because as soon as I log in everything grinds to a halt. Trust me, I really wanted to hang onto the account, but it is not worth it any more

If everything is on the up-and-up, there should be no problem getting your membership changed over to the new account and cancelling the old one - that's something you would have to arrange with the head honchos here.

Maybe Sir P. Myers can chime in here.
