Ok, if given the option of meeting your true love or significant other for the rest of your life and living happily ever after. But you would not have very much money.

Or a ton of money and riches beyond your wildest dreams. Lets say BILLIONS of dollars. $1,000,000,000+ But you would not ever have a significant other or a real relationship.

Which would you pick in this scenario?

But see

    Definitely true love.

What's the use of having billions of dollars if you don't have someone special to share it with.

Anyway I'm pretty used to not having very much money

Aww, this is an easy one...true love! (I say this as my fiancée is looking over my shoulder.) Plus, I agree with Lynette - I don't have to have tons of nice and expensive things if I don't have someone with whom to share them. It's like making the outside of me happy while ignoring the inside. No point to it. (Although I have to confess that even if it were an absolute choice, there would always be a little part of me that would hope I could win the lottery.)

It would have to be true love. Love is an emotion and state of being that transcends money. Money can only be used to purchased material things which can't compare.

I've done the 'love' thing a few times in my life - the only good thing to come out of it is my 5 sons.

No way will I be trying again - Tshirt worn out

So, at my age, give me the money!!

100% - true reciprocal love. To love is good, to be loved is better. To love and be loved is the best of all.

    Love is all we need!

That's a tough one. I met a true love and we were together for a time but had to break up because she wanted more kids and I didn't have the career to support the children. Money always mucks up important things. I would say take the money, but if the stipulation is that you never get to have a meaningful relationship, I'd say to take the love if it is guaranteed with no fights about money or breakups/divorces. Then you could make money together. Maybe not millions or billions, but at least you'd be happy. Humans are naturally more happy with love and acceptance as long as they're getting their fill of food, water, shelter, and sleep. The other necessities.

I like your post very wise, truth is it's impossible to maintain any relation with out stability! In my opinion balance is needed & also like you said how can two walk together unless they agree! Two train engines can pull more than one! Hey even Scrooge learned to Love!

My True love ? Let me tell you about my true love!
He owns it all, He led me to my Wife the greatest gift in my life, He takes care of my needs! He causes the rain to fall on the just & the unjust!

Matthew 22:21 (NKJV) (speaking of coins)
21 They said to Him, "Caesar's." And He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."

If you fall in love with HIM all things fall in to place! Truth I pick my true love! Thanks for the opportunity to say so! Great post, great idea!
