My Thoughts On Windows 7 So Far

In short...I love it. It's much better than XP. It's going to take a while for me
to get the hang of some of the navigation, but it starts faster, fixes problems
on the fly and seems to have better stuff, for lack of a better word.

Too bad I have so much work to do to get back to where I was before the
crash or I'd actually be having fun right now.

Ditto. My laptop died a few weeks ago and with it went my Vista. I was comfortable with Vista and previously loved XP. Considering over the years products like ME I was really scared to go to 7. But so far it has been smooth sailing. I also upgraded to MS2010 and those products are quite good so far too.

I also went from a professional version of Vista to a home version of 7 and seems to be fine for me.

My only concern is MS is planning a new operating system Autumn 2012 and once again I will be hostage to updating service packs and eventually them not being supported. In that respect, I really hate MS and their money grubbing ways.

Change is inevitable. But MS is FAR from the only company that does it and then charge for it. Although I believe they charge too much (my opinion) it's their right to charge for their work/intellectual property and our right to go get the free operating system (Linux) and learn it and not give any money to MS.

In other words, there are options...
