Woah, did your heart just drop.

It always worries me about what will happen to all my online stuff when I eventually kick the bucket.

It does give you a strange feeling to find out someone is gone, even if you never really knew them face to face. I've got all my stuff in a notebook just in case - people to be contacted, etc. As far as the money - a will takes care of that, but it's good to have someone that can come online and tell people that you've left the building.

It's even odder at the other end of the line.

I had to take care of my father at his house before he died (liver failure). After he passed away, I began to go through his things, collecting important documents, packing things up, etc.

Not a day went by that someone didn't call on the phone asking for him. Telemarketers, friends, even some of his doctors. Having to explain to everyone that he had passed away was not something I'd ever like to re-live, believe me.

My husband's grandmother lived in the house we are in now for over 50 years. I get mail every single day for her and she passed away over 18 months ago. I still get the occasional phone call as well.
