I'm actually testing Express Email Marketing after seeing this thread and I'm doing a personal comparative test with constant contact and mailchimp.
For the moment I will resume some differences with other systems.
Price is sure very convenient and it is very simple to use, but some features of constant contact, a provider with which they compare in their advertising, are sure lacking.
The main point until now is that there are no statistics until sending is finished and this for now is the most problematic as in every other provider this information is avalaible from the first moment and it is always very useful for understanding how a campaign is going.
We had a campaign of 18000 subscribers and we sent it. We received an email saying that it should be sent in 48 hours. Here godaddy was inaccurate. Actually is more than 3 days that we wait to know what is happening with our campaign. We know for sure some emails have be sent because we received some responses, but we have no clues in understanding the progress of this campaign. Support said that they don't know how much time we will have to wait and now we don't know if all email will be sent in 4 days or we will have to wait a week. These subscribers came from another autoresponder where we tested them before, constant contact. But when subscribers are uploaded on godaddy they go on the "unverified" status and apparently only after 3 openings they become "verified". It means apparently that with this system each campaign will take a lot more time to be sent than with mailchimp or constant contact. Another point is that there are no clear statistics on the site about their spam threeshold or bounce's threeshold. In general I know that spam threeshold (the number of time users click on spam when they receive your mail) of most email marketing providers is no more than 1 on 1000 emails sent. But apparently godaddy has not a separate voice for spam warning, at least in what we can see.
About the delivery rate I cannot say anything until now, but as we have a clear idea on how is our delivery rate in constant contact I think we will compare it easily when (hopefully) this mailing will be finished.
