It IS ironic!

Cain and Able fought. Able was murdered.
Isaac and Ismael fought. Ismael was sent away and basically abandoned by his father, though a show I watched today claimed that they worked together to build something in Mecca. Who knows?
Jacob and Esau fought. Jacob conspired to get Esaus birthright, and went into self exile.


And NOW?

And NOW?!?!?!?

The descendants of Jacob and Ismael are fighting. EACH want to lay claim to the same land that, in a way, Abraham was promised would go to all of them.

It is odd that they BOTH supposedly consider Abraham a prophet.

So yeah, unless they forget history, change their basic sensibilities, etc... peace isn't likely. I literally laughed at the prospect of an outsider claiming to attempt to help in the 70s. Not that I didn't WANT peace, but the idea that a guy, that was even an OUTSIDER, could publicly claim he would attempt it, and anyone thought he had a chance. OHICSM!

Yeah, I wish I could understand that song. My Hebrew is spotty at best. But you probably did a good job at conveying the idea. A person, likely jewish, based on the song's language, is lamenting that ANOTHER has died, and brought grief to the family. He is asking for an end to the endless attacks and hostilities.

The Old testament says not to do what Abraham did, lest this happen. Had Sarah accepted ismael, or they had not taken advantage of ishmaels mother, this may never have happened. The NEW testament, in revelation, says that the third Jewish temple will not have one of the walls since it was given over. Supposedly, it was written around 30-50AD. Around 800AD, a wall WAS given over. An attempt to take it back would likely have practically the entire continent attack Israel, which is likely why nobody attempted it. The same book says that there will be a war on megiddo with other peoples.

Not meant to start a religious discussion, just stating some interesting coincidences and related facts.
