Then rush off and update everything ... and CHECK/SCAN your stuff

      Run your computers on Windows XP
      It is probably less prone to bugs than Vista and soon to come Windows7.

    I read the article about the virus, but don't quite understand.
    Will it disable the infected computer? Or I guess my question is
    how would you know you've been infected; that you a/v didn't
    spot it?

      Hi Carol,
      all the AV software companies will have dealt with the
      threat or presence of this latest evil in their recent updates.
      Just update and do a full AV scan of your computer.

      Just about every spyware and virus disaster posted in
      this forum over the years has happened because someone
      was uninformed, lazy or stupid. Better safe than sorry
