UFC 140: Lyoto Machida Vs Jon Jones?

Due to a hand injury Rashad Evans will not be fighting world UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones at UFC 140. Lyoto Machida will take his place. Considering that Machida was dismantled by opponents that Jon Jones easily beat, it may seem hard to imagine that Machida can win. Thus, I am really out there Lala Land in predicting that Lyoto Machida will defeat Jon Jones by KO. Here's an analysis that goes along with my way of thinking (except the writer still predicted that Jon Jones would win):

I was going to skip out on tickets because it was a weak card. This might sway me into buying some now.

I'm going with Bones until he loses. (not counting DQs) He seems to be a great kid, very humble.

Tough call. Have you seen Jones' performance in his fight against Rampage? Oh man, he just picked Rampage from afar, and when everything was set, he finished him with a choke. I was rooting for Rampage but now, I'm a fan of Jones.

Jon Jones is a tremendous fighter. MMA is odd. MMA math doesn't always work like if B>C and C > D, B > D.

This Evans vs Jones fight keeps getting pushed back... which as a fan I'm upset about. I want to see these two go, and honestly watch Bones destroy Evans. That said, this recent "setback" just increases the potential of that money fight.

Machida, as good a fighter as he is, I don't think he'll have what it takes to put the kid down. I could be totally wrong on that, but like Kurt says, I'm firmly behind Bones until he gives us all a reason to not think he has "it."

Evans was in the Octagon after Bones' fight with Rampage, and the young champ had some choice words for him--I'm sure the heat will generate to an all-time high when they finally square off.

I like Machida, but he doesn't seem to fight as good as he used to, almost like once he started loosing you can tell he doesn't have the drive in the ring. Whereas before Machida picked almost everyone apart. Jones will dismantle Machida....

and damn, again this fight get's pushed back. Eventually, Evans will get smashed by Jones.

I found this more interesting than Evans vs Jones.

Evans has eaten Machida's fists and fallen asleep. Though it's hard to say that he (Machida) got what it takes to beat the young man down.

I want Machida to fight Jones rather than Evans.
