OFF TOPIC

I'm sitting here getting some writing done and I notice the furnace seems to be running a lot.

So I go take a look to see what the thermometer reads outside. It's -20F out there!!!

I am so ready for Spring to get here.

Man that's freezing. I didn't know it got that cold in Ohio. It was about 30F a few weeks back here in Bakersfield, I was bundling up just for that.

  It is a little chilly here too Rick.
  Lows around -5 to -10 and day time highs in the single digits and teens.
  Got more snow and a heat wave coming in tomorrow with highs around 28 and lows around 16.

I teach ski racing on weekends. Here in Ontario (Canada) it is minus 35 with the windchill factor. Minus 20 is spring weather.

@ Kay, I am located 35 miles south of Wooster in Coshocton county. A small rural town in a peaceful setting. Nice and quiet most of the time.

@ Sal, Yes, I have thought about moving a time or two. But I like it here in Ohio. I like the change of seasons and the winters usually not that cold. This is the coldest it's been in 15 years. I remember it getting down to -40 deg. back in the early 80's when I was working on the oil rigs. That was down right damn cold. Nothing like working with ice hanging on your eye brows and mustache.

I hear ya Rick! It was the same here for thursday and friday today was a heat wave the high got up to 17F (lower Michigan) and of course now that it is warmer it had to start snowing again!

P.S. I'm asuming that -20F was without wind chill like it was here.

Yep, you assumed right CJ. When I got up at 5:30 this morning it was -22F.

Oh yeah I have a light switch about foot or so from my front door and the screws on it were completely frosted over it was insane. I wish I would of taken a picture of it.

  It's not as cold tonight as it has been for the past couple of nights here. Last night and the night before it got down to 0 degrees. I was wearing gloves and it didn't even feel like I was wearing anything!
