  • But you have to remember...Lincoln grew up in a Log Cabin...so he had dial-up, and V.21 - they didn't even get 9600 installed in the Whitehouse until after 1862...

Gen. Lee however, was rockin' 9.6k in 1861...and could have made great progress in the war if the lines had not gone down between Arlington and Antietam in '62...

And if Lincoln had just checked the reviews online for that lousy play his wife wanted to see - "Our American Cousin"...??

They might have gone to see "Spamalot" like he wanted to...(tix were hard to get even back then)

(which really gave rise to the conspiracy theories...because Abe was a known big MPFC fan)

(it's all in Bill O'Really's new book on Lincoln...)

    (ps: pun intended - oh, really...O'Reilly? :p)

Good point. Now that you mention it, I do remember reading that Lincoln only had access to dial-up. Too bad.

If only he had been alive to witness the massive advancements in computer and internet technology that would take place in 1867, only two years after his death!

What are you talking about? That isn't Lincoln. He spun a George Washington line. The original real quote is, "Has anybody seen my pudding?"

See how wrong it is to use spinners?
