Active Duty, Retired or Dependant?

I'm retired Air Force and would like to get an idea of just how many Warriors are
Affiliated with the military as Active Duty, Retired or Dependant? Although it's not included in the poll (Not sure if I can edit it), I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who's served in military.

Thanks

None of the above, but I am former Navy, honorably discharged. Just didn't stay in long enough to qualify for retirement benefits.

There are quite a few of us here that can't answer your poll because you didn't include an option for us. They may have done a hitch or two, but your poll doesn't cover that.

You're welcome, and thank you too!

      None of the above.
I wanted to enlist when I turned 18 but was talked out of it by my father.
Now keep in mind there was a long history of military service in my family going back to my great grandfather who was in the Prussian Wars.
My father served in the Army during WWI, twice.
My half-brother served in the Army in WWII.
My cousin served during the Korean War.
My time would of been Viet Nam but my father was opposed to that war.
He felt it did not serve the interest of the people of the US and we should not of been there at all. Considering his military record and patriotic attitude, I had to agree with him.
I ended up protesting that war with his blessings and support.
But I've always had much respect for people who serve in the military and even back then would get in the face of anyone who disrespected some one because they where in Nam.

What if someone was in the military but did not serve here in the USA?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Yeah, my intent was just to get an idea of Warriors who've been in the military; regardless 2 years, 20 years, retired, or not here in US or abroad.
