In my point of view the mind is nothing but social product. Therefore
Mind is discrimination
Mind is shyness
Mind is guiltiness
Mind is negative recording
Goal of mind to drag us positive energy down
How to overcome this mind, only by practice you can control your mind.
If any one can explain me in details regarding that mind

    There are qualities of the mind that may not be intelligent or dumb or even logical, so you can't call it intelligence. Two identical twins may have seemingly identical brains, but different thoughts, so you can't call it a brain. The idea of mind probably predates the brain anyway.

    Religious people may almost call the mind the soul. And it is NOT negative. It also creates the drive. Without the mind, we would be little more than zombies. So DOES it handle what the OP says? YEP. But that is far from the whole.

    BTW if this sounds nebulous, that is one reason why religious people came up with the idea of a soul and even have a lot of religious belief.
