Something like $30/month (paid monthly) would be awesome.

Thanks.

What sort of hosting are you looking for, at that price, Jonathan? $30 per month is a lot of money for hosting. Hostgator is always highly recommended in these parts (including by me), and their prices start at under $4 per month. Under $20 per month buys you the full "reseller" hosting package there ...

(On the other hand, $30 per month isn't really in the ball park for a dedicated server, but you didn't mean this, I think?).

      Hi Alexa.

Just normal “run-of-the-mill” hosting. I'll look into Hostgator. (Is that charged monthly or yearly?)

      Thanks for the suggestion.

I pay yearly (you always get a good discount, that way) but I'm pretty sure you can pay monthly, for any of their hosting deals.

How do you get your Hostgator reseller for under $20 a month? It used to be $25 and I was told that it recently raised its rates.
They also bill monthly unless you make other arrangements. Who did you contact to get a yearly rate?
Actually I've never seen their "single" rate at under $4 a month.

When you choose their Aluminum package for reseller hosting, it is $24.95 - but when you order, there is an automatic 20% discount, to $19.96 per month.

      Pretty good deal.

        Mike,
I don't know how many years I have had sites with Hostgator and it has always cost me $24.95.

$5 a month may not seem like much but thats an extra $60 a year.

No, You're right. The only hosting I've ever seen at $4 per month is BlueHost and to get that you have to buy 3 years in advance.

Jonathan, one of the hosts I use is Bluehost. I've been with them for 8-9 years and never had a problem. Support is good, too. They run about $6-7 a month (paid yearly) depending if you catch a sale or not.

Just checked, it's $5.95 a month right now. Web hosting provider - Bluehost.com

    ANd this is their reply:
"Thank you for contacting Host Gator, I will be more than happy to assist you with this. I apologize for the inconveniences this has caused you, however, the $19.96 you see on the site is just for the first payment. This is stated on the site itself as the payment for the "First Month" with the "Recurring" price shown on the bottom, which is $24.95. You can see the pricing at the following link: "

So, we are all correct. You all are quoting 1st month introductory prices.

    Jonathan,

How many sites are you wanting to host?

I ask because I have a Host Gator Reseller account and have just lost
my day job after 24 yrs with them.

I could set you up a control panel and alot you space.

It would be a win win for both of us. I wouldn't charge you very much.
I pay $24.95 a month and you could help me cut my costs.

    Just a thought.

    Have a Great Day!
    Michael

PS, Send me a PM if you are interested.

      Michael,

You may be on to something. I don't know how feasible it would be but I'm thinking a few Warriors and a few Fiverr gigs and you Hostgator would be covered.

Totally agree with you Joe, but best not to advertise this too much, thus they may change their plans!

Hi waterotter. I'll let you off this time. Seriously though, thanks for the suggestion. (I've already donated to Kim and Ken’s cause.)

      ...

Thanks for the great offer Michael. You’re grand. However I think I'll go with another company. Good luck with everything. : )

You should look to hostgator Jon. It is realiable and cheap for its quality. Just go to reseller if you need it, or you can get their baby plan just for $8 per month or so (unlimited domains for baby plan)...

I went with HostGator in the end. After spending at least an hour trying to configure my FTP Program they solved the problem in 10 minutes via chat support.

      Happy customer so far.

I have gone with all the hosting companies and honestly found ipage.com the best. Especially for wordpress. I have 2 accounts with them because I am hosting atleast 10 websites on each account. $3.50 per month. Very fast loading...Once in a while they have some issues, but are fixed pretty quickly. I highly recommend them.

hi OP im using HAWKHOST and it has been good so far (2 months). Just google their name to view their website. I cant however tell if it is the best of all hosting because i havent tried other hosts yet.

you can get 50% one-time discounts by using online coupons. just google them too because i dont want to cause infractions by posting outbound links. :p

I also signed up for their affiliate program so if you choose to host there you may want to help me a bit by coursing your order through my link.

p.s. I chose them because they seem to have many good reviews from people.
