It's been a wild few weeks for my family and the neighbors.

1. I loose a job I've had for more than 24yrs.(24 days ago)
2. An elderly next door neighbor passes away.(85yrs old, Nov.11,2011)
3. The elderly neighbor across the street falls and breaks her hip.(87yrs old, Nov.12,2011)
4. The neighbor next to the neighbor that passed away falls and dislocates her hip(83yrs old, Nov. 13, 2011)

You people have to buy my $hit and get me the F out of here quick! J/K

Seriously, It sucks to have to see this happen to people that I've known and loved for so long.

A few years ago when Katrina came pouncing through Kentucky, I tried to
help them through the hard times. Warriors also tried to help me help them.
I Thank each of you for that help.

The point of my post is that Life is shorter than you may think it is. Make the
best of it now while you can. Love those that you can love and let bygones
be bygones.

Live life as it was meant to be lived. Enjoy the Good and place the bad
aside. Get the most out of the time you have. Be someone that when you
are gone people will say "Remember when Michael used to say..."

Be that person. Help people when ever you can and when your time comes
they(or someone that remembers what you did for their loved ones) will be
there for you and yours.

Sorry about the emotional post but I needed a self reminder and posting it
here sets it in stone for me.

God Bless and Have a Great Day!
Michael

Maybe you should start marketing a product to reduce falls or the damage of them?

Hip injuries can be pretty devastating at an older age
Been there, done that, and wrote the ebook...
I even did one on one coaching! Obviously, it wasn't enough.

The problem is that Alzheimer's negates it all.

    Hey M2...

Sometimes life throws more at us that it seems we can take. I really don't have any advice for you that you don't already know...Just want to say my thoughts are with you and hope things get better soon.

    Pretty upsetting stuff, Michael.

Uncanny that 2,3,4 happened 3 days in a row!

Man, stay inside and stay seated! lol.

I really dread getting old and hope I don't have to. Either physically or mentally you go back to being helpless like a baby. If you are blessed you have somebody who will have to take care of you. If not, well then it goes from humiliation to hell real fast. I would just as soon skip it.

Rough month, Mike. I hope things normalize pretty soon for ya. Don't know why things like this always happen in clumps, but they do. Maybe the best we can hope for is one heck of a punchline on the other side.

Sorry for your loss Michael, but you give a good point to us not to take life for granted. You've been through a lot so hopefully things will get better - because they will. Its ok to be selfish sometimes so grab the kids/grandkids and go do something fun to recharge your batteries! Please let us know if there's anything we can do to help out.
    best,
