This is probaly crazy but right now in Firefox I have 43 windows open and 12 in Internet Explorer

Could it hurt my computer?

How many do you have open right now?

    Not counting tabs, I only have 27 open right now. 13 in various html browsers. only 2 in IE though, only 4 in firefox. If you had them ALL accessing the drive simultaneously, this disk cache wouldn't be able to order things right, and it could THRASH, creating more wear on your drive. Otherwise, don't worry!!!!

      Thank you Steve, I am less worried now

      On top of that I also have Backgammon (to relax, lol), 5 pdf files, 4 Powerpoint presentations, 8 word documents, 2 zip files, 1 Kompozer, Notepad and the Snipping Tool :p

      For me, closing a window is like losing a friend When they are all at my fingertips, I'm happy, Eva

      bedroom; 4 (they are 6'x3.5')

      I hope that answers it, lol.

      Oh, and 8 has a view over the lake and Google Earth didn't bother to venture up my cliff hanger to a dirt road

    Not more then 6. The more tabs there are the less productive you get. Just my opinion.

      Yeah, I know what you mean. After starting this thread, it made me think. I'm glad to report back that I'm down from 54 to 39. My goal today is to get down to 30, then decrease by 5 day. It will be hard, lol but I can do it !
