Ever since I requested a direct deposit from PayPal I've been receiving these emails with the subject "Your-Direct-Deposit-Payments-Were-Rejected" and the body containing a hyperlink that redirects to Google.

Anybody know what's causing this?

    This is extremely confidential.

Contact Paypal. Do not reply to the messages or click the links.

    They could be phish.

But there really may be a problem with Paypal you need to straighten out.

If you have a report phishing button in you email account I would use it.

It's Christmas time, thieves are coming out .I have gotten the same email from Paypal and many other businesses. Its easy to tell most are fake because I don't even do business with most of them, but in rare instances one comes in from someone I do use

The best course of action is immediate deletion. If there really is a problem with someone, you can always go directly to their site and contact them. Never follow a link in an email unless your 100% sure its safe. You usually can hover the mouse over the link and it will pop up the url the link is leading to. Then it becomes obvious that its not legit because it will say something like PaypalSecurity[AT]yahoo.com ,an obvious link NOT related to Paypal.
