Sometimes internet marketers make a big splash, then disappear, websites defunct. Alien abduction?

I do wonder about some of them. A couple of years ago I bought a popular product from some one who advertised here. It was great. I integrated right into some things I was working on and I still use it. I expected to be on her marketing list. I got a thank you email and have never heard another word. I know she must have built a sizable list. I just wonder why it was never pursued.

Locally, a guy that used to be fairly active on this forum and a couple of others has now morphed into a real estate mortgage modification 'guru'. I see his signs all over Tampa/St Pete.

Vortex, it's the vortex. They walk too close, and (How do I type a sucking sound?) they are ingested by the vortex.

The local hospital emergency room has a a vortex too. Medical personel come to the exam room, and say tothe patient, "I'll be right back in just a minute," and walk over to the vortex, never to return! It is really wierd.
