Best way to Monetize: Adsense or Affiliate Marketing / Referral?

While I am using Adsense in my blogs and websites, I have heard some people say that Affiliate Marketing can bring more revenue. Is this true?

I believe that the Adsense is the best one: easy, high paying, no big hassle and better revenue than other systems.

However, I'm a newbie and want to know your views on this! Which one is likely to bring in more revenue?

    You should have put this in a different section of forums, would get way more replies.

    Screw Adsense. Put some CPA banners in place of the adsense spots. Way more money to be made and with much faster payouts.

    And definitely put some affiliate banners on there too. The following sites pay you instant commissions, directly to your PayPal. No waiting for payments:

    Affiliate Marketing can definitely be more profitable than putting up AdSense ads.

    It is more work, because you have to get your own traffic, rather than just having Google serve up the ads across it's network - but a well worded post (about about the benefits of any product) is much more likely to get a click on your buy link, than a simple 3 line ad posted in the search results, or in your blog's sidebar.
