"Citigroup bails out of plan to take delivery of jet after pressure from Obama administration

NEW YORK (AP) -- Citigroup won't be getting a new corporate jet after all. Under pressure from President Barack Obama, one of the nation's largest banks reversed course, announcing that it will not take delivery of the jet it had planned to purchase before the credit crisis unfolded..."

So, if not being pressured, is Citi still going to take delivery of the jet?

It's simply amazing of how one giant conglomerate fails into pieces.

This is another example of cosmetic self sacrifice.

There was no pressure from Obama but there was a major meeting in which many financial organisations decided to show a little restraint in the current circumstances.

A couple of them even decided to reduce their fleets!! Not Citi, though, they are simply not making their fleet any bigger.

Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!
