Power to the protestors! Time Magazine has dedicated it's 'Person of the Year' title to 'The Protestor'. I just read this article on the Washington Post Blog. It was a pretty interesting read. I thought I'd share.

Here is the cover:

Article:
Time Person of the Year 2011
  • Exactly! It has been the year of the protester, the Arab world topping the rest of the world. What could be in waiting for 2012. Are they going to come to an end with the year or we are headed for another successive year of protests.

I don't see the movement of protests ending at the end of the year. They don't seem to be following a timetable according to months where it would just end based on a new calendar year. They're more into their cause than that. The subject of their protest is the most important thing.

Some of that crap that's on the table at congress slips through and next year will be rioters instead of protesters.

There won't be riots unless "professional" trouble makers start some.

Interesting. Has Occupy Wall Street led to any discernible change apart from the existence of the protests themselves?
