I'm noticing my newly purchased laptops screen, which is LED is so much better to look at than my year old Samsung 24" LCD.

The whites on my laptop are brilliant, whilst my Samsung monitor verges in being a touch yellow even with the brightest of settings.

I know LED is LCD. The diffence is only the backlight. It would make sense therefore that I am getting a more whiter white from my LED screen.

Have many people found this?

I've read reviews which state there is little diffference but I'm inclined to disagree and I'm on the verge of buying a nice Iiyama 24" LED even though my current monitor is only a year old.

I suffer from a few eye floaters as a result of a head injury. The laptop is so much more friendly towards these ailments too. It's a primary reason why I want to invest in an LED.

Thoughts please!

I'm hoping someone can confirm and I'm not just missing a setting on my monitor!

Several reviews state that there is little difference between an LED and LCD screen in terms of picture quality. I tried comparing my LCD laptop and LED laptop and can say that the LED screen has a richer color. But then again this could be because of various factors.
