Is the WAR ROOM a needle in a haystack?
Yes, I'm old enough to remember bulletin boards, and pay-per-minute dialup. Just the idea of getting a floppy in the mail with preloaded minutes just cracks me up. Anyway....
Things change so deceptively quickly that it gets funny the longer back you look to compare. But, when something so recent as the IPhone, Visual Voicemail, or Google Instant Search begins to fundamentally change my expectations, It's not funny but a little scary.
For example, as a paid member of the WarRoom, I once-in-a-while try to use the search thread function to find a pertinent answer. In other words, searching the 'Questions that don't fit anywhere else' thread. But I never yet found an answer to anything that resembles what I was searching for.
I understand Allen's desire to keep the thread count low and quality high, but it still doesn't make sense to me if I can't find an answer. Usually I find stuff from 2008 that contains the word or phrase in red, but totally off point.
Isn't there someway to add Google search within the forum, to allow a better logic algorithemthingy to deliver the answers?
I'm I just dull, or am I permanently spoiled by Google? If I have to scroll through hundreds of posts looking for something related to my query, I'm getting noticeably annoyed. So usually, I give up. And pop over to Google. Often I find the post or wso indexed there in Google's search results.
Time for the WarriorForum, especially the WarRoom, to upgrade? Or, am I just spoiled?
