So I want to buy Office 2010....

Hi All,

I am in Australia and have an Amazon voucher for about $300 - I thought perfect I will buy a downloadable copy of Office - but apparently they wont process my order as I am outside of the US.

Just wondering if it would matter if I used a US address at checkout since all I need is the product key and the download location.

Does anyone know if they actually send you anything via post?

Gotta think of something to use this voucher on!

    Hi Saras,
    That was a nice little present. Instead of using Microsoft's overpriced office suite, have you considered downloading a free office program from Open Office. That way you still have $300 to spend.

      Hi Scotaff,

      Thanks for the reply, yes I have tried it, but as a self confessed Excel junkie I find that a lot of the advanced functionality is missing.

        Same here. As much as I tried to replace MS Office with Openoffice, OOo just doesn't do a lot of things as good as Microsoft Office does. Plus I'm a OneNote addict and there's no other software that even comes close to it.

    The other alternative is to open a Windows Live Hotmail account and you get the use of Microsoft Office free.

    I tried getting the downloadable version of Expression Web from Microsoft, and couldn't because I was in Canada. I can't remember the details. It probably was because my credit card billing address was in Canada, and there was no way around that. Amazon didn't have this one. They did have a more expensive version on a dvd, and that was what I got.

    So much for the internet bringing the world together. (sigh)
