So, what do you guys believe will be the most lucrative jobs in the near future (8-15 years timeframe)?

  Project Managers - especially technical ones that can efficiently manage globally dispersed teams.

  I have to agree with Michael to an extent. Skilled technical managers able to drive an internationally distributed team to success are going to be key players in the near future. But I don't think they will still be as vital for the long term. Even now major companies are starting to realize that the costs of doing business off-shore and out-sourced is much greater than originally anticipated and it is at least as costly in the long run as keeping that work local. Expect tosee things swing back towards US development. Manufacturing may stay else where, but R&D is coming home again.

  Sportsman definitely. Remeber the person who lit the Olympic touch. He is Li Ning, the "prince of gymnastics" who won 6 medals in LA 1984. He is now worth a cool $500M and was a billionaire at some stage.
