Just found this out.
I think it really sucks what he went through at the end of his life.
The scandal, cancer, broken hip, not the reward a great coach like him deserved.

    Joe Paterno was a great guy who did far more good than bad.

    It's really strange...When he retired I had a Bear Bryant flashback and wondered if Paterno would die soon after retiring too. It seemed football was supposed to be a part of both of their lives.

    You know Thom, I was thinking that just last night, because of the reports of how sick he was getting.

    I think it's terrible to have his legacy marred by a single scumbag...he coached for so long and was a help for many a kid...

    I hope history is able to separate the two.
