What happens when we sell website

Hello all,
Suppose we have a website and have google ads on that site. It is generating very nice revenue. So if we sell this website to some other person, and that persons uses it for some illegal content from google point of view, then what will
happen?
Will google delete our adsense account as violation of his TOS or of the person who is currently using that website and using own adsense ads?

    I don't think Google would punish the seller if all remnants of their previous ownership of it was removed before the transferring it to new owner. I never got grief from Google regarding sites I sold, even those on which owners did funky stuff.
