The Removal of Megaupload.com from the net
Megaupload.com had 150 mil registered users... Think about how many of those users actually meant good to the web and was providing for their family from doing business through megaupload.com without breaking the law.

Ok, so the Gov have shut/shot it down because they have breached piracy and internet laws.

Unlawful activities are being done there and on other sites such as the illegal distribution of music, videos, pics you name it(stuff)!! While those activities need to be reduce, one must come to grips that it wont stop suddenly on the net even if SOPA is place into effect. Ok so maybe the site was doing more "harm than good". However personally i feel that just suddenly knocking the site off the face of the web is also going to do more "harm than good". I don't want to go into explaining that, but one can just imagine how much valuable/priceless content was kept there by normal law abiding individuals.

Suddenly Shooting!! down the site is not going to solve the problem. As seen so far this as sparked a Mega Internet War and this is just going to escalate from here on.. I feel that the Gov want (SOPA) this because of 2 main reasons. (1) is to protect their self more than any thing else. The word they like to use is "classified info" too much of their wrong doings are being leaked on the net and to stop all of this they need the net to be censored. (2) Also personally i feel that the US Gov acted on ego and with the intention to protect their affiliates such as Universal Music etc etc.. These bills don't make no f**ing sense, they have already decided what they are going to do. The Internet is one of the largest if not the largest man made entity, and oh yh, it does not have have a owner. So guess what ? the Gov have taken it up in their own hands and are going to forcefully run this ****!!!. Whether we like it or not.

Protecting affiliates.

Why they chose to do this to megaupload.com after they announced that they were going to start distributing music and will be paying the artists a significant amount of the royalties. I guess Universal Music did not digest that too well:p. Oh yeah i also heard today that youtube was asked to remove a recent commercial, in which they did. This commercial had world renown musicians supporting megaupload.com new music endeavors such as Swizz Beats, kanye West, Jay-z etc.

I guess little by little we are all being trained to be like robots, we are currently being programed and told what to do by the button pushers.

If you disagree and think i don't know one **** about what i am talking about? fine

Please share what you think .................................................. .........

Piracy is illegal. The FBI investigated for over 2 years and most likely have a solid case for piracy against this company. Good riddance MegaUpload and any other illegal file sharing site.

I have no sympathy with MegaUpload. They created an environment where piracy was rife.

I have no sympathy for the owners but i do have for the honest users. I understand that a lot of the stuff done there was wrong. As old saying the good of to suffer for the bad.

However i do believe that there is more to this than we all take from it.

In the US there is an old saying. Perhaps it is english. The saying is "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water." Ever wonder what that means? I take it to mean that a wash basin may be dirty and have dirty water in it BUT, make sure your child is not there before you throw out the filthy water. So check for and preserve the good BEFORE you try to get rid of the bad!

Too many, ESPECIALLY in American Politics, see what they consider to be filth, and try to throw IT out FIRST! If they ever get the child back, it is bruised, beaten, bloody, brain damaged, and near death. THEN, they take it to a nurse that kisses the bruises, puts bandaids on the cuts, and they act like they are to be COMMENDED for "saving" the child. It may later be found that the filth was actually gold or something.

Sorry to be so graphic, but that really IS a good description of how it works.

I heard a story once about a guy that searched high and low for a fabled cave on a mountain. He found a few good places, and took samples. Unfortunately, I guess he got lost. 8-( Later, he crushed some rock, and found an interesting metal. It was grey, and didn't look very valuable. He might have thrown it out, but decided to ask an expert about it. He found that the metal was gold and silver! The story goes that he never did find that mountain again. That is pretty much the end of the story. But it is interesting about how he might have thrown out that metal that, in those days, may have been worth HUNDREDS of dollars. Had he kept better records, it could have been worth millions. And that was THEN! NOW it would be worth more.

BTW the fable, if you want to call it that, is that a guy was looking for gold, found a GREAT mine, and left his gun by a cave, to mark it. He left to lay claim to it, and never found his way back. And many have been looking ever since.
