Any hope to get my signature back?

Hi everyone! I think that my signature has been disabled, but I don't know why. I just read the forum and signature rules. I realize what may have caused it to get turned off, but I haven't visited this forum in a while, so I'm not sure what links I may have had in there that were in violation of the rules.

Is there hope to get my sig turned back on?

Why don't you go to the "Help Desk" and submit a ticket and get a reliable, detailed reply???????????

    Warrior Forum Support

    ...and...

Review the signature file rules again:

    What are the Forum Rules?

    ...Lastly...

Check that you're actually setting up your signature correctly. Maybe it's working and you don't even know it?

I've searched far and low and cannot seem to find it. I know I had it before, and now - poof. Thanks for the suggestion!

Also, your signature will not show in every section of the forum. For example, signatures don't work in the WSO section.

From my short stint on these forums the admins usually act without saying anything so the best bet is to use the help desk as GMD says.

Your best bet is to submit a ticket.

The guys at WF have to deal with so much s*** everyday that they can't always give reasons for why they do things. They just have to do them.

There are literally hundreds if not thousand of people trying to bend the rules on here everyday. They do a great job at keeping the forum they way they do. Although the actual members at WF do a great job of this aswell. Every time someone breaks the rules they usually set them straight!

I'm sure if you talk to the staff nicely they will resolve the problem with you.

Why do you think it has been disabled anyway?

Looks like it's been turned off, so you won't find it to be edit or make any changes. Only the Help Desk or a moderator can tell you why it was turned off.

    SIGNATURE FILE RULES

Sig Files are getting out of hand.

We're getting all colors of the rainbow and some people are using massive fonts...comes a time when things need to get back into line so...

    NEW SIG FILE RULES

    (1) Maximum length of sig file is 5 lines which includes any blank lines used for spaces.

EDIT: War Room members are allowed up to 6 lines.

    (2) You are only permitted 1 color in your sig file, this can be any color so long as it's black (hyper links can be blue as they come up this way on the board)

    (3) Sig files may only be written in the normal standard font size.

    (4) You may bold or italicize but that's it.

    added by admin:

    (5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do.

EDIT ADDED 3 May 2011: The new WarriorPlus affiliate links for WSOs are not allowed either.

    (6) Anyone Caught Promoting The Same Site/Offer Will Be Deleted. Program owners are telling their members to come here and make posts to promote their offer in their sig files. This has caused tons of useless messages to be posted and it is clogging up the forum. Anyone caught doing this will have to be removed. This is not an ad forum - it is a discussion forum.

Edit: We have no problem with someone pointing to their WSO within their sig.

Edit: Due to certain people trying to find a loophole I needed to add yet another edit. Please do not try to get around these rules by getting your own domain name and simply redirecting it to an affiliate program. You Will Be Removed From Here When Caught.

If you want to promote an affiliate program do it on your own domain. Your own web site. Not a "pre-made" web site. Your own web site, a real one. Then put THAT web site in your sig file.

A simple way to stay within this rule is this: Promote Your Own Real Web Site And Do Not Listen To Anyone Who Tells You To Come Here Just To Promote A Site They Created For You.

I've turned it back on. It doesn't appear to have been an affiliate link issue. In that case, it's most likely too many short posts that don't really add to the threads they're in. That looks like sig spamming.

I don't guarantee it won't get turned off again if you repeat whatever motivated it in the first place.

Good luck with that. What are the rules anyway? I never bothered to read them. So many rules on so many sites.

I was curious to see if you can list your Fiverr gig in your signature. I've seen some people doing it, but I'm not sure if it's actually allowed or not.

I'm pretty sure you can Jeanne, you just arent allowed to try and 'game the system' by redirecting to an affiliate link for a product or anything like that. I had to learn that the hard way, haha

But I've seen a ton of people with their fiverr profiles/gigs in their sig since I've joined, so I think its alright.
