So who watched the Nick Diaz vs. Carlos Condit fight this weekend? Was anyone as disappointed as I was? I like Nick Diaz and thought he should have pushed the pace more. Thoroughly bummed he's not fighting GSP next.

I think smart fighters do what needs to be done to win the fight and that doesn't always mean an exciting fight. Why are you so eager to see him fight GSP? GSP is a great fighter but his fights tend to go to decision and about as exciting as the Diaz/Condit fight.

Oh I agree. I think GSP has one of the best strategies in the fight game, but it isn't very exciting. I would rather see Diaz fight GSP because I have a feeling GSP will dominate Condit on the ground. He's going to eek out a dominating, albeit not very exciting, decision against Condit. I think Diaz is a lot more dangerous than Condit to GSP for the simple fact that Diaz can handle himself on the ground and make it that much more interesting. He's also got the cardio to match GSP, and he can match his striking on the feet as well.

Agree, GSP's fights are generally always boring "decision" fights. He has so many opportunities to submit or KO someone, but he doesn't, you can even see him back off at opportune times that others would have taken. Smart fighter.. but boring lol.

UFC 144 has a nice card lined up as well as 145.... can't wait to see Evans get school'd by Jones.

Personally I can't wait till June though, Sonnen vs Silva 2, and hopefully Chael doesn't leave himself open again right at the end for Silva to submit him, he's done that a few times. Excellent fighter, but he get's so into the fights and aggressively pushing, that he's lost other fights he's dominated by leaving himself open, and all it takes is a split second for someone to capitalize on that.

Lol. Yes, agreed about GSP. Ex:, he floored Jake Shields in their fight and didn't pounce all over him and try to get the finish. He fights "safe."

Yeah, I'm stoked about Sonnen Silva 2. Chael had gone off the deep end lately, and honestly it's made me like him more lol. Did u see his interviews prior to his fight against Bisping where he was toting a fake UFC middleweight belt? Hilarious!

I think Sonnen is a beast. He smashed Brian Stann. And the Bisping fight surprised me. Not a Bisping fan at all, but he earned my respect two weeks ago by hanging in like he did. Needless to say, can't wait to see him take on Silva again.

I must say I do like GSP's style and movement and I actually like it if someone doesn't immediately go for ground and pound after knocking an opponent down - it's always seemed a little desperate and undisciplined to me and is the main thing I dislike about UFC. I know it's about winning but I think it can possibly make a better fight letting your opponent get back up and it shows a little more respect for them, you and the sport in general IMO...

You must have hated Henderson's brutal knockout of Bisping then , in Hendo's words "the 1st punch was to knock him out, the second one to make him shut up" ...after all the trash talking Bisping did haha. Hendo is one of my favorite fighters, another gifted athlete that even at his age is in better shape then majority of the guys in their 20s lol.

I'm with Thunder on this one.

If a fighter wants to win, they will win.

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings with a bunch of friends watching the fight and it was a disappointment in my eyes, but that's what you get when you bet on the playing field

Not really huge into UFC, but the fights are fun to watch on occasion.

Nick Diaz is much better against GSP than Condit. GSP will slaughter Condit both on stand up and ground game..
