Once in a while a movie makes a big splash, then pretty much disappears, except in esoteric collections. One such movie is, "Brother Sun, Sister Moon." Do any titles come to mind for you?
  • "Dodsworth" (1936) and "Pride of the Marines" (1942) are two that come to mind...

One of my favorites, I don't consider esoteric at all, but every time I show it to someone, they say they never saw it...Sullivan's Travels by Preston Sturges (1941) I love that movie... (kinda sappy ending though...)

I saw Brother Sun, Sister Moon in the theater, long before VHS was invented. Inspirational movie that was well produced. When it was available on VHS, I added it to my collection and still watch it every few years!

I don't know if this next movie is esoteric OR if it made a big splash, but I think it is a great one and I have it in my collection: The Adventures of Pluto Nash, The MAN on the Moon, with Eddie Murphy

I love that movie! But I don't think a lot of people liked it for some reason.

I think Eddie would like to forget it though...

I think that comes in a twin-pack now... with "Howard the Duck"
