In the aftermath of his points defeat against Vitali Klitschko, Dereck Chisora brawled with British rival David Haye in an ugly confrontation saw police called, and left Haye's trainer and manager Adam Booth with a facial cut.
They have brought boxing as a sport down to a new low.

what punishment sdo you think should these two unsporting thugs receive?

They weren't fighting, they were just dancing apparently.

EDIT: Anyway look at all the attention it's getting which everybody knows is what David Haye wants for a big payday. Chisora was right in what he said about him but it's all just a big publicity stunt, or at least that's what it looks like as it's been done time and time again and works every time for some reason.

    And so was the fight.

Klitsko was like a mummy and the other guy sucked out loud.

Vitaly is getting old...He's 40. And this is the first challenge of any kind he's had in almost 10 years when he fought Lennox. I thought he was beating Lennox until that terrible cut stopped the fight.

I believe both Klitschkos are excellent boxers in the worst era of heavyweight boxers ever.

I wonder when they retire if it won't be the end of heavyweight boxing forever?

Agree totally! I don't think they will retire anytime soon because of the money they make...they put a lot of butts in those seats in Europe. Did Chisora get arrested for making a threat at haye saying " he will shoot David Haye" Who nows maybe John Ruiz will come back

Part of the allure of boxing in the past was that these are the toughest men in the world who could beat any man in a fight. Now, the common perception is that just about any UFC fighter would beat just about any world champion boxer in a no-holds-barred fight.

Dereck Chisora and David Haye have damaged the reputation of boxing - This behaviour kills the hard work of the people that have been polishing the image of the sport,
It teaches disrespect for the sport and fellow human beings.

Boxing is one thing and the UFC is another totally different sport and the two should never be compared.

"He glassed me." Never heard that expression. There was some reference to a bottle, so I assume it means hitting somebody with a glass object?

Regardless of how real the tempers may be, how real the blood and the arrests there's probably a lot more to this than meets the eye.

There's so much money involved, it's ridiculous what people might do.

It's all an embarassment to be honest. I used to think more of David Haye a few years ago. But he is doing the sport of boxing so much harm. I always thought the Klitschko brothers carried themselves with so much more dignity than David Haye in the past, they come over as a lot more intelligent. And the spiting of water by Chisora - I mean why??? Why would he do it?? Is David Haye his role model?

What was David Haye doing in the press conference anyway? Rather convenient isn't it.

And yes, glassing someone is basically just attacking somebody with a glass object, usually a bottle or pint glass but basically anything made of glass qualifies. I guess you call it something else in the US?

Not sure if we have a special word for it. I was in Amsterdam a few years ago and some intoxicated street person threatened to smash a bottle over my head -but he didn't say "I'll glass you", lol.

This incident might have been staged, but that guy looked pretty out of control. He certainly better not shoot Hayes now, after publicly threatening it!

        Ah, the joys of Amsterdam.

I got "Show me English (money) before I get angry" whilst shown a knife.

So my experience wasn't unique. I had always heard Amsterdam was a very safe city, but apparently not. My incident was very minor, but just surprising as I've traveled to so many other European and even American cities without the slightest problem, even walking around at night in questionable areas. I guess the tour guides leave out some of those details

Tyson was a bully/thug also, but he could back it up in the ring. The heavyweight division needs some new faces in there badly... Its tiring to watch the Klitschko brothers walk through everyone by pawing out a left. I like that Chisora pushed the fight but everyone knew what the outcome was going to be before the bell ever rung.

Yes, there hasn't been much interest in the heavyweight division since the days of Tyson. And before that, not before the golden era of Ali/Frazier/Foreman. Now it's all about the welterweights and middleweights (and the fifty divisions in between, lol). You can even usually see heavyweight title fights for free now, at least if you have HBO, which shows how little money they bring in.

Night of shame: Dereck Chisora and David Haye could face jail for brawl
according to newspapers, plus a life ban....hope they ban them.
There have been many kids who have benefited from the sport by giving them a different direction in life, other than maybe a life of crime in some cases.
This does not give them a role model.

Skirmishes at the weigh ins are a common occurrance but I think it's just sad for any sports to act with unsportsman like behavior.
