It seems that ebay doesn't get as much publicity as it used to. Is it on it's way out, or will it be here 'till the cows come home?

It doesn't need as much publicity since it's thriving as the Internets No1 auction site.

Coca Cola is thoroughly established too, but they are in firm competition with Pepsi....

I always remember when I used to see Ebay ads plastered all over the Internet for years before I became familiar with it. How time flies and how things change!

eBay not going anywhere, because there will always be people trying to buy/sell things online, and the auction style setup is perfect for that. I just can't believe they never had a real competitor rise up all these years, pretty lame. It helps they own Paypal too.

Ebay is always going to be around. They are a very well known and trusted brand. I predict that Ebay will be here till the cows come home, and all the other animals come home too lol

  • Ebay needs competition - it might knock a little wind out of it's sales...

Ebay is as strong as ever. It would not be threatened by any potential competitor for some time.

Ebay USA generates about $1,000,000,000 per week. One Billion. Per Week. It's a huge traffic hub.

I don't use Amazon at all. I don't really like the setup or format of the site. Ebay, I use almost daily. I think that Ebay will be around for quite some time. However, I know many sellers are leaving or thinking about leaving due to the fees that go along with the site.
