What a fantastic musician....I last saw and actually spoke to Mickey mid 2008 after performance in a Penarth public house, Wales. Months later he died of Emphysema.
not only was he a finger picking master revered by Carl Perkins, but he could play any style of quitar.
He actually played the pub circuit for years after his early fame....so sad. Others went on to fame and fortune, Mickey missed out. Although he still loved playing in spite of all this.
Can you think of similar cases of musicians who dropped out of the so called lime light.
