For as long as I remember, my home page has been google.com. I am a curious person by nature and search a lot of topics every day. Based on what I have read and heard about Google's new privacy policy, I am going to distance myself from the big "G'. My new home page is bing.com.

Too many people just go along with anything shoved down their throat these days....not me this time. They can keep Gmail as well.

Hey, Frank, I admire you for standing (walking) on your convictions. The Big G's coming policies are getting a little frightening, it is true, but I think we are going to find that it is going to be the same everywhere we go online. That is simply the nature of the Internet "Beast" as it becomes more globally social.

Indirectly related to the topic, do you have a website? If so, why not make your own website your home page? That's what I have done. That way, it's the very first thing I see when I go online and it helps me to keep an eye on my site to prevent any unexpected occurrences or errors. Just a thought.

I hope that not all companies aspire to grow up and be just like Google. Hopefully if things keep going in that direction, there will be some kind of backlash from the comsumer. (Even if it is a small minority).

I find BING likes to put a lot of hyperlinks in stories that suggest you may find something entertaining, but in actuality only is taking your focus off of what you were looking for in the first place in the story, and is not really related...it is easy to get off course -
