Should I expect unsolicited calls and mail if I register a DBA or trademark?

A DBA IS repeat *****IS***** a statement saying that YOU are DOING BUSINESS AS! So far as I now, they ALL require ADVERTISING! When I got a DBA in LA California, you had to ADVERTISE in an approved paper above a certain font size and in a certain section, for a certain length of time. It is MANDATED! Fail to do it, and the DBA is REVOKED! In fact, the forms you get include a copy of the ad!

And YEAH, people DO go through them to get prospects. A trademark is a LITTLE bit different, and the purpose is different, so the address may not be so public.

A DBA is a PUBLIC notice to tell the world that A is doing business as B! It is a NOTICE to the world!

A TRADEMARK is an INDICATION to the public that the trademark is taken, and a notice to the GOVERNMENT that YOU own it!

That thoroughly answers my question. Now that I know, it seems so obvious.
