Full length movies on youtube?

I've noticed just recently that there are loads of full length movies appearing on youtube like pirates of the carribean, who framed roger rabbit, and some good ones too.

I know you used to be able to find and watch some movies in 10 minute parts but now there are some really good movies appearing in their entirety, but how do the people get away with uploading them?

I also can't see how Google doesn't find them straight away and ban them unless I'm missing something?

I'm guessing they're available until they are flagged for removal... I have not noticed any full-length movies on YouTube before (besides the segmented ones you mentioned) but I have never actually looked either. That's interesting, they can't last very long... at least hear in America they'd be taken down quick.

I have noticed when I create a YouTube video with a copyrighted song as the music that it will only show up to certain foreign (to me) countries with no copyright laws but won't be shown to anyone else... and that's just a video slideshow with Pink Floyd playing in the background.

This is why I can't understand how they are not found?

It can't be that difficult to find them. Unless I am missing something obvious.

I believe that there are some legal and legitimate full length movies on YouTube too, that are not divided up into 10 minute chunks. I could be wrong, but I think I remember that this is the case.

There are a lot of full length documentaries on YouTube, but I don't know of any featrure movies as yet.

When (not if) YT does a deal with the movie studios then you'll see some feature movies start appearing. At first it'll be old classics, and then eventually more recent stuff.

So that blind people can hate them as well.

Actually there are lots of full length movies on youtube, but I omly noticed recently. Here's one for example, and this was uploaded 3 months ago.

I am very surprised to see that YouTube allows these people to upload movies for others to see. I am sure that they will remove it but by the looks of it with the movie above, it has been there for 3 months.

If the people who own these movies and make money from DVD's and rented movies will probably find this out and ask YouTube to remove them.

Albums too. Yesterday I listened to the whole of “The Joshua Tree” (in one chunk) by U2.
