How did you acquire the skill?

I can ride a 20 foot unicycle, but it didn't enhance my life in any way whatsoever. I quit riding unicycles many many years ago. I believe that females are more anatomically suited for riding unicycles.

  • LOL! A 20ft unicycle? WoW -

I'm guessing one of the skills you acquired was ducking! Bridges are 16ft!

And all those friendly power lines!

They may be more anatomically suited...but that still requires cojones

Too often I DO say what I think People call me passive-aggressive.. I call it honesty, but it has cost a few "friends".

My skill, however, is I have the ability to create fire and read without moving my lips.

    What skill? Writing

How did I acquire it? Practice!

And also by writing a weekly column in a newspaper for FREE for about three years ... until they gave me a job ... and then I was paid for writing and worked 10 or more hours a day, seven days a week for two years.

Very intense! But it was awesome conditioning and the best part of it was THEY paid ME to get educated and experienced as a writer!

I think you reminded me of a skill we may have overlooked - Reading

Reading begets writing, and nearly all of the other skills we all may have acquired.

the biggest issue with people these days is that they don't want to read. Infographics is an attempt to save the new generation the trouble of reading text. I wonder was that the reason why Egyptians started drawing stories on their walls even when they had alphabets to put things in written. Probably the pyramids were their Youtube portal.

LOL! You have a point - in a few generations it may revert to oral history and acting out on YouTube events...though I don't know how that will play out - given their short attention spans!

The one skill that I learned is that when ever I have a negative thought come into my mind or even a negative situation, I now think positive and think how can I make things better.

Basically the skill of creating profit funnels online. It's kinda hard to describe so let me give an example.

Sell a gig on Fiverr ($5). The gig can be an ebook you wrote outlining a few specific steps to take in order to achieve financial freedom or something online. In order to do that perhaps you suggest getting a loan from Prosper.com, which they get using your affiliate link ($150 for you) and you suggest signing up for your free mailing list in order to get a free valuable report (1 new subscriber). Basically, the ability to get multiple profits from the same order - it's like a funnel. If someone does everything you say, you get a lot. If they do have, you still get some.

I learned this from being observant of other marketers, getting screwed into buying products and signing up for lists with never-ending upsells, yeah - school of hardknocks.

I took that skill and ran with it and come to think of it, that skill is still continually changing my life.

I used to, years ago. When I was a child, a circus performer who lived in my neighborhood taught me how to do it. I never seriously considered performing on unicycles, not having the right kind of focus for that, lol.

Though I will admit it's not something I practice or do.

I'd say the one skill that changed my life was learning percussion.
It gave me an understanding of the benefits and power of music.
Also it taught me to listen for the rhythm in life and nature.
Most importantly it gives me something to hit and attack on those days (everyday) when the stupidity of people makes me want to beat them senseless.
