Selling ebook online? I doubt if it will be successful in China because many people get ebook from the Internet for free. What's your opinion?

I know it, but it is not something you can get elsewhere.
I mean a password protected niche ebook for a specific niche market.

What kind of ebook do you sell? For example, if a reader buys one copy of an ebook, he or she may upload the ebook to ebook-sharing website, then people can download the ebook from that website for free.

You have made a good point here, Steven.

To avoid the problem, I may convert my ebook into password protected webpages.

For those who have paid me, I will email them a pasword for access to these webpages on my own website (like a membership site). I will change the access password from time to time to avoid unauthorised sharing of the password.

            Thank you for your comment...

            Cheers!

Do you have every type of e-books for selling or only for Chinese peoples?

By the way this is good option to selling e-books in a confidential way. Excellent idea..

Hello all, I live in Dongguan, Guangdong, China. And I am also chinese but raised in the US for most of my life. But now I live here in China.

As for internet marketing in China, I disagree that selling ebooks or any other "virtual" product is not possible. Why would you think so? Because us "Chinese' have no regard for trademarks or rights? Ok, I do agree that most here frown upon paying for that which you can get freely like so much of the pirated software that is in use widely in even the largest corporations here but it is also my opinion that MOST people here are still honest and forthright and would be more than willing to shell out money for something useful. What makes us so different from everyone else out there in other parts of the world? Don't tell me that none of you have ever downloaded pirated WSO's? Some of the largest distributors of pirated stuff are not chinese sites! Anyone who has ever put out a WSO, do a search for it on the Big G and I can almost guarantee you'll find it being given away for free! Yet, that has never killed IM, right?

Never assume that just because we "experienced" IM'ers know about getting free stuff that it is general knowledge. It is not. I would say that more than 90% (just my opinion and not from some Neilson study!) of general population do not know these things. Could be wrong. But if everyone knew where to get things freely, why has the IM market gross millions year in and year out?

My opinion is that the same scenario will be played out here. Well, I'll find out. That's for sure! Internet marketing is very much a reality here maybe even more so than in the US! Just have to know how to navigate the waters. As for marketing virtual products....all I can say is the market dynamics here hold tremendous potential. Many times greater than what exists as you may know it because of the sheer size of the market. Keep an open mind about it.

I've been marketing on the internet here in China for over two years now and I can tell you that the millions that inhabit the internet here are very receptive to marketing and very willingly whip out their "Alipay" accounts to buy all kinds of things!

Hello all. I am currently located in Hefei, China, but I am originally from Toronto, Canada. Hopefully I can strike up a conversation with some of you about making money online, general internet tactics, and so on.

Are there are Warrior meets in China? Even online ones via QQ would be ok.
