The Most And Least Obese States In The U.S.

The data was collected as part of the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. Participants were asked to report their height and weight, allowing Gallup to calculate their body mass index (BMI). A person is considered obese if they have a BMI of 30 or higher.
In other words, THEY HAVEN'T A CLUE! The data is polluted and WORTHLESS! Someone that has a lot of clothing/gear and/or has big bones and is STRONG may seem obese while a naked person somewhat overweight may seem THIN!

    Arnold swartzegger 32.1
jack lalanne 24.2 (as I recall, he was emaciated) He supposedly weighed only 150. If he weighed 186, he would be obese.

Maybe...But all those variables apply equally to ALL states.

Why not use gravity, or light, or the amount of calcium in milk?

Because the people that did the survey are rational.

You're only saying that because Colorado is high up, and less affected by gravity - hence you weigh less and your figures are skewed :p

Using a formula that assumes a certain ratio that could be way off, and relying on questions to a sample would indicate otherwise.

I currently live in one of the states with the least obesity. So I figure if I move to West Virginia, I will look svelte by comparison. It's all relative, really.

I thought for sure Wisconsin would be on the most obese list. All that beer and cheese, you know.

Makes me wonder about the accuracy of all the statistics and studies done.

Just in January I saw on the news where Michigan was in the top 5 of states for obesity. Surely we all didn't stick to our new years resolutions to eat healthy, lose weight and exercise and shed tons of poundage in a mere 2 months time!

If that be the case, we need to call The Guinness Book Of World Records!
