The doctor who supposedly implanted Octomom with all those embryos is still at it. Now a 49 year old woman single woman with a boyfriend and with no insurance is pregnant with quadruplets. Not as bad as octuplets, but still. Why hasn't the medical board taken away his medical license????????????? Someone tell me why???????????

Sounds like we are being manipulated to support forced sterilization -- which I always have, but most people do not. They will soon. This issue is being worked real hard now.

Forced sterilization scares people because it's a major piece of the Eugenics philosophy. While I support sterilization and feel we should be smart enough beings to keep our populations at certain numbers, I do not believe in Euthanasia and am strongly concerned that once people accept sterilization they might also start accepting having people bumped off when they are no longer useful to society.
Time to start deciding where we draw the lines or they are going to draw them for us, folks.

Spot on Sal...and the new social health plan will probably take care of the euthanasia part by being denied care if you are too old and/or sick.

Yeah, the socialized medicine is flashing some bright red lights, alright. It's also a means for forced treatment methods - many of which contain underlying experimental purposes. Thought we got out of that one after having it done to so many, and fatally so, before WWII. Seems they were just laying off for awhile til they could manipulate us around suitably to make it all acceptable practice. They already have adjusted the cattle to forced vaccination. Not much more ground to cover to get to We the Guinea Pigs again.

He's being investigated - but there is no law to cover this. What I can't figure out is how these unemployed people pay for it.

Saw where the state of California has gotten the FIRST bill for the 8 babies - it's over a million dollars so far according to the news.

I think it's twofold - investigation of the doctor by all means (other doctors who do IVF are condemning him pretty loudly) - AND disallowing IVF for those who are on the public dole. Someone paid the doctor - and the mother of the eight said in an interview she wasn't on public assistance which turned out to be a lie.

Now children's services says they'll be following up almost daily on the kids care when they go home - so how many other cases, perhaps of abuse, will get ignored because of the time these babies take up from children's services?

This is just a bad scene all around.

You got that right! Do have any idea how much this woman will be getting for assistance? I bet it would scare us. I know people around here on welfare with two kids that live better then most middle class. Town gives them a house, state gives them money and food and worst thing is they aren't disabled..... They have just beat the system. The few I know have had the same boyfriend for years but won't get married because they lose the free money. Blah, blah, blah, don't get me going......

Are you from UK or USA?

At least here there are rules that you can't be on welfare (cash assitance) longer than 5 years and you have to work or volunteer at least 20 hours a week unless you have a child 1 or under or are disabled.

I have met several people who lived together with kids but wouldn't get married because they qualify for a lot more as singles. If they were married they would lose benefits.

As for gov. housing, there are loooooonnnnnngggggggg waiting lists here 5+ years in some areas.

I know it's worse in UK cause they have no limits like we do.

Maybe something good will come out of this mess like a law stating if you have enough money to pay for IVF you can't get on state assistance.

It does not necessarily mean that the doctor has done something against the law in order to nail him. The medical registration board can remove the practicing license of a doctor on grounds of professional negligence, incompetence, or misconduct . Although the doctor can always sue the board afterwards.

In the case, I think there is a clear case against the doctor The fact of the matter is that the failure of his IVF procefure is well above the national average. That is one of the reasons why he implants so many in the first place. Also the fact that the women have had 6 children before of which 3 have disabilities makes it a good case of misconduct.

I can't understand either how people on public assistance can afford expensive IVF treatments. Public assistance is for needy people, not people who can afford these optional, expensive treatments. Obviously they are lying to their caseworker about their assets, otherwise they would not be approved for it. I know some people who are working their butts off just to feed their families and they make just barely enough to not qualify for foodstamps while most of their money goes to necessities like rent, car payments, electric bills, etc so they end up having to eat "budget meals" just to get by. It's sad when truly needy people can't get help, but users do. I just can't believe how selfish some people are This one woman is going to bring up the California deficit by millions.

Plus I saw on the interview she gave 2 of her kids are on disability for ADHD!!! I had NO IDEA a kid could get a check every month for ADHD. There are millions of kids diagnosed with ADHD are all of them getting checks? I bet after seeing that interview a lot more parents are going to apply for disability for their children. I didn't even know kids could get SSI, I thought you had to be an adult. I'm out of the know on this.

Just a thought, but maybe this so called Doctor is doing these

procedures gratis as a form of advertising. There are millions of

couples out there who would be happy to have just one baby of

their own. Why not go to the guy who has shown a success

with eight? (and why don't more people consider adoption.)

That is such a sick idea.......unfortunately, it's a very possible one.

Yeah, but, for crying out loud, somebody needs to do something to keep that woman from having more kids!
You bet - I have always been in favor of sterilization - even forced. What scares me is when people are manipulated around to good ideas through bandwagoning -- it shows brainwashing more than adoption of logical thinking -- and that is how Eugenics gets adopted by masses of people. People should have been demanding sterilization of welfare pregnancies a generation ago - all we have gotten from it is generations of welfare families, but that idea was thought to be "immoral" until this -- the whole subject is loaded with dementia at all ends.

Man, what a bunch of sickos!

I say burn her at the stake. She's obviously a witch for being able to spit out that many kids! (And let the good doctor go up in smoke with her!)

(Ha! I made a typo and typed ikids instead of kids, (I went back and corrected it above) and that made me think about Steve Jobs and his newest invention, the I-kid. Perfect for the parents who have everything but the time to give birth and raise a child...plus their I-Kid can be connected to their I-Phones and Apple Computers for real time consulting and information management.)
