What irrational childhood fear do you still hold?
Fast forward 33 years and I still can't even try one frog leg.
My cousin and her new husband, who is French invited us over for dinner. Sauteed frog legs.
Now generally, I'll try anything once but every time I picked the little sucker up, I just couldn't get my mouth to open. My mind kept replaying Kermit's attempt to save his legs from the merchant. Silly? You bet. Could I help it? Not at all.
I'm glad my kids weren't there or I could forget about ever winning another "just one bite" battle again. I still feel silly, but I wasn't eating that frog leg.
What childhood fear do you still hold as an adult?
Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.
